In an era of rapid industrial development, every manager must understand the safety level of the technical equipment used in their operations. Many entrepreneurs assume that all factories or workshops are the same, but legislation clearly defines the concept of Hazardous Production Facilities (HPF).
🔍 #Did you know?
Not every plant or piece of equipment falls into the HPF category! The hazard level of a facility is determined based on Cabinet of Ministers resolutions and the Law “On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities.”
🛠 When is a facility recognized as “hazardous”?
If your enterprise involves the following processes or equipment, it is officially classified as an HPF:
High pressure and temperature:
Equipment operating under pressure above 0.07 MPa or at temperatures exceeding the boiling point of water at normal atmospheric pressure (boilers, pressure vessels).
Lifting and transport systems:
Use of permanently installed lifting mechanisms (cranes), escalators, suspended transport systems, and funiculars.
Chemical and explosive hazards:
Presence of substances that create explosive or fire-hazard environments, as well as handling extremely hazardous toxic substances of hazard classes I, II, and III.
Metallurgical processes:
Production of molten ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloy manufacturing.
Mining and underground operations:
Extraction and processing of minerals and any type of underground work.
⚠️ Why is this important?
If your enterprise meets these criteria, you are required to:
Register the facility in the State Register;
Provide specialized training for employees at the “Kontexnazorato‘quv” center;
Obtain mandatory industrial safety insurance.
Reminder: Failure to comply with safety requirements may result not only in significant fines but also in serious risks to human life.
