On 2 July 1992, the Law “On the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted. According to the law, the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a symbol of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The author of the state symbol is Anvar Mamajonov. The artist was born on 22 May 1950 in Tashkent.
