Today, the Republic of Uzbekistan is implementing the European Union’s initiative on Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Centres of Excellence. Within the framework of this international cooperation, a series of practical activities is currently underway.
On December 1–3 of this year, Tashkent hosted the next interregional meeting within the EU’s Regional Project No. 101, titled “Ensuring CBRN Security in Critical Infrastructure,” organized by the International Science and Technology Center. The event was opened by the Chairman of the Committee on Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, Mr. A. Rafiqov, with an introductory speech.
During the meeting, participants were presented with detailed information about the project, introduced to the fundamentals of ensuring CBRN safety in critical infrastructure, and engaged in discussions on cybersecurity issues. In addition, measures related to the implementation of the project and aspects of interregional cooperation were reviewed.
